Egerton Grey is a 10-bedroom country house hotel set in seven acres of gardens at a secluded rural spot near the coast, yet only 20 minutes from the centre of Cardiff. A fine building which dates from the 17th century, it has been beautifully restored by present owners Richard Morgan-Price and Huw Thomas and is enhanced with a wealth of fine antiques and paintings.
Their Royal Highnesses were accompanying The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh at the official opening of the third National Assembly for Wales at the Senedd in Cardiff on Tuesday (5 June 2007).
After lunch with Members of the Welsh Assembly during a visit to the National Museum in the capital, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited Dyffryn Gardens and Arboretum, just outside Cardiff.
Their final public engagement yesterday (5 June) was attending the Cardiff Business Club Dinner at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
